With so many different yoga mats on the market, how do you know which one is right for you? Below is a list of mats that are tried and tested, and that will last a long time. However, even with this advice it might take a couple of trial and errors before you find a mat that supports you the way you want it to.
Manduka Pro – This one is heavy and expensive, but it will last a long time. I’ve had three Manduka mats (different thickness) over the years and the quality is amazing. Known for its durability and support, the Manduka PRO is made from PVC but has a closed-cell surface that resists moisture and bacteria.

Lululemon The Mat 5mm – Lululemon mats come in different sizes and thicknesses. This 5mm one is quite heavy and you will pay a premium, but that that you get a very grippy mat that feels great to practice on, and that will last a long time.

Suede Yoga Mats – If you’re looking for colorful, unique, different, and perhaps personalized yoga mats, then these mats on Etsy are amazing. They have great grip, especially during sweaty practices. The suede material is very soft and every mat comes with a black strap included in the price. They are quite thin so they work best as a travel mat, on to roll out on top of a studio mat.

Gaiam 5mm – Gaiam offers a variety of mats at different price points, including eco-friendly options. This particular one is less grippy but comes all kinds of wonderful colors and designs.
